Liberal Candidate for Similkameen-South Okangan-West Kootenay

Gloria Morgan was born in Enderby, BC, and attended school in Armstrong, Enderby, Vernon, and St. Eugene’s Indian Residential School. Her first job was fruit picking at age 12. Since then, she has worked as a playschool assistant, waitress, RCMP officer, lawyer, and Chief of the Splatsin t’e Secwepemc First Nation.

She earned her law degree from UBC and was called to the bar in 1995. Gloria is a retired lawyer who worked as a criminal defence lawyer, Crown Prosecutor, and Circuit Counsel.

She has served on more than a dozen boards, including the Enderby Chamber of Commerce, RCMP “E” Division Aboriginal Advisory Committee, BC Patient Safety and Quality Council, New Relationship Trust, Okanagan College Board of Governors (as Chair), Splatsin Development Corporation, and the BC Forensic Psychiatric Service Commission. She is also a board member of the Provincial Health Services Authority.

Gloria was a Federal Adjudicator for the Indian Residential Schools Independent Assessment Process. She is an Elder and Knowledge Keeper for the BC First Nations Justice Council. She also sits on the SD83 Food Security Working Group, is a Marriage Commissioner, and is passionate about community wellness, cultural preservation, education, and advocacy for future generations. She believes in respectful leadership rooted in lived experience, community, integrity, and fairness.

Johnathan Wilkinson

Liberal Candidate for
North Vancouver-Capilano

Jonathan Wilkinson has brought the North Shore’s voice to Ottawa as Liberal Member of Parliament since 2015. He has served as Minister of Fisheries, Oceans, and the Canadian Coast Guard, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, and most recently, as Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

He is running for re-election as the Liberal candidate in North Vancouver-Capilano.

A Rhodes Scholar, Jonathan made use of his educational background in public policy when he worked as a constitutional negotiator and a federal-provincial relations specialist. Jonathan also spent 20 successful years in Vancouver’s private sector, including as CEO of a number of leading clean technology companies.

He has served on several industry and charitable boards, including the United Way of the Lower Mainland and the B.C. Technology Industries Association. He has also formerly served as a board member and treasurer of the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation.

Jonathan knows what matters to this community – whether it’s affordable housing, fair tax rates, good public transit, or fighting climate change – because it matters to him, too. He has deep roots in North Vancouver, where he has raised his two daughters alongside his wife, Tara.
